30Tir Residential complex
| Tehran | 2024 | Design
Located within the historic urban fabric, the 30tir Residential Project is designed with a contextualist approach, drawing inspiration from traditional Iranian architecture while responding to contemporary urban needs. The overall geometry of the complex is shaped around a central axis, echoing the spatial logic of Persian garden pavilions and courtyard houses. Two separate blocks are organized symmetrically along this axis, which culminates in a larger, primary volume. Through strategic breaks in the form, semi-open spaces and courtyards emerge—reinforcing the introverted character of the project.
Corridors are designed to subtly encourage human interaction, fostering a sense of community and shared experience. A horizontal platform on the ground floor defines the circulation paths and entry sequences, guiding movement throughout the site. Brick is the dominant material, chosen not only for its cultural resonance but also for its ability to filter light through its porous texture—creating a warm, tactile atmosphere.
The spatial layout follows a clear hierarchy, incorporating the traditional Iranian concept of the hashti to separate public and private zones. The 30tir complex reinterprets vernacular architectural principles and adapts them to the rhythms and requirements of modern urban living.
